Hi, A few words about me: With an interest in travelling and foreign countries dating back from my youth I decided extend the domain and study International Relations at Utrecht University in the Netherlands where I did research on the legal basis of artificial international borders after decolonisation and the disintegration of states. Special focus was on the transboundary conflicts arising from these events. I have been working for some years on (inter)national water management issues with the Dutch Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water management (Ministerie van V&W). Within the ministry I recently switched to the Water Management Inspectorate (IVW). Next to the tasks within the Inspectorate I devote part of my time to transboundary water conflicts, within the framework of Unesco. |
